Signing Up For Health Plans

Thank you for visiting Paramount Health Insurance Marketplace (HIM) direct enrollment portal. The portal is now closed and will open on November 1, 2018.

The 2018 annual open enrollment period for Marketplace insurance ended December 15, 2017. However, if you moved to a new state, changed jobs, have gotten married, divorced or had a baby in the past 60 days, you may still be able to purchase a Paramount Marketplace plan. To find out if you meet the “Qualifying Life Event” criteria and can purchase a plan before the 2018 open enrollment period in November, please call Paramount Customer Service at 1- 800-318-2596 (TTY: 1-855-889-4325) or go to HealthCare.gov.

Qualifying Life Event

A change in your life status makes you eligible to enroll in health care coverage through a Special Enrollment Period. Examples of qualifying life events are moving to a new state, certain changes in your income, and changes in your family size (for example, if you marry, divorce, or have a baby).

Special Enrollment Period

Any time outside of the Open Enrollment period, during which you and your family have the right to sign up for health care coverage, is considered Special Enrollment. In the Marketplace, you generally qualify for a Special Enrollment Period of 60 days following certain life events that involve a change in family status (i.e., marriage or birth of a child) or loss of other health coverage. If you do not qualify for the Special Enrollment Period, you cannot purchase insurance through the Marketplace until the next Open Enrollment period.

Past due premium that is due to Paramount within the past twelve (12) months, is due prior to the effective date of coverage. Any outstanding premium that is not paid, may affect enrollment with Paramount, or any affiliated health insurance issuer.
